Robert Moorman

Rob grew up in Brenham, TX and graduated from SMU in 1973 with a BBA. Instead of seeking a traditional business career, he chose to become a professional musician. He started a band in Dallas that subsequently moved to Austin where they enjoyed success in the popular “Outlaw” movement.

He was born again in 1982 and moved back to his hometown of Brenham where he met his wife, Becky, and together they have six children.  He and Becky attend Grace Community Fellowship Church of Brenham. Rob has been praised and worship leader and, along with Becky, life group leader.

He has been in the real estate appraisal profession since 1983 and holds three designations from the Appraisal Institute. Also, he is general certified in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. He currently serves as Quality Control Lead for the South-Central region for Cushman & Wakefield of Texas. Rob is also on the faculty for the Appraisal Institute and is an Executive Professor in the Department of Finance at Texas A&M University.

He still plays music with a four-piece band, Rob Moorman and Company, in the Washington/Austin County area. He also enjoys exercise and travel. Rob and Becky have been involved with Serenity Retreat for ten years. It has been life changing as they have both been able to gain Christ’s perspective on areas of their lives as a result of the ministry at Serenity Retreat.
