Julie Baker

Julie Baker graduated from Rice University with a BA in Sociology and Photography followed by a master’s degree in public health from the University of Texas.  Other leadership positions have included Co-Master of Weiss College at Rice University, Chairman of the Board of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Houston, Prayer Minister and Stephen Minister at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, Houston.  Julie Baker joined the board of Serenity Retreat in 2016. She is an active prayer mentor and trainer at both Serenity Retreat Bellville and Serenity Retreat Houston.  Her board work has centered on raising awareness of the power of Transformation Prayer and on funding for the mission of Serenity Retreat.  Julie and her husband, Stewart have been married for over 50 years, have five grown children and nine grandchildren.
