Ministry Coordinator

Emma Alvarez is a dedicated individual whose life is marked by a passion for service, education, and spiritual growth. Currently serving as the Ministry Coordinator at The Preserve’s Houston office, she brings a wealth of experience and commitment to her role.

Emma’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Liberty University, setting a strong foundation for her career. With a drive for excellence ingrained in her, she embarked on a path that led her to diverse roles in education and ministry.

Her current position as the Houston Ministry Coordinator at Serenity Retreat reflects her dedication to spiritual development and community engagement. As an intercessor for Transformation Prayer Ministry at Serenity, Emma plays a vital role in facilitating spiritual growth and healing. She is also actively pursuing her passion for mentorship through a Mentor in Training Internship, aiming to empower others on their spiritual journeys.

Drawing from over 15 years of experience as a teacher, lecturer, and reading specialist at Aldine and Houston ISD, Emma’s commitment to education is evident. She believes in the transformative power of education and has dedicated her career to empowering students to reach their full potential.

Emma’s faith is central to her life, and she attributes much of her success and personal growth to her close relationship with Jesus and her involvement in TPM. She finds fulfillment in serving her community as a child advocate, mentor, and volunteer at her local church, embodying her belief in the importance of giving back.

Outside of her professional and volunteer endeavors, Emma cherishes time spent with her loved ones. Exploring nature parks in Texas with family and friends brings her joy, and she finds solace in beach walks, reminiscing about her childhood in El Salvador during her frequent visits.
